Knitting Needle Case (2023: new version), video tutorials: pockets and bias tape.

In this post, I will include pictures and videos to help you sew or modify your Knitting Needle Case.

Lately, I've been creating the external panel using a mix of fabric combinations. If you'd like to try this, simply add some attractive fabric to both sides of the panel.

And now we got a place to put a label on.

One of my favorite things to sew is a zipper pocket. Here is a short 3:15-minute video where I demonstrate how to sew an 18 cm zipper pocket for the Knitting Needle Case.

In this 2-minute video, you can see how I apply bias tape. Be sure to pay attention to the corners!

Please let me know which steps in the sewing tutorial you think were difficult. I'll make and post videos to address those specific areas.

The pattern is highly customizable, allowing you to choose between making 3, 4, or 5 rows of pockets. In this short video, I demonstrate how to fold 5 rows of pockets without any bulk, so you can easily sew them using a basic household sewing machine.

To reduce bulk, I do not start at the bottom. Instead, I begin approximately 8 cm (3 inches) from the bottom edge, and each successive pocket also stops short of the panel's bottom. This approach requires a longer pocket panel, around 155 cm (61 inches), with any excess trimmed off.
